ArmeniaNow.com -- The American hit “reality” television series “Khloe and Lamar” was an unlikely but effective platform for educating television viewers about the Armenian Genocide Sunday.

The television show – starring the Kardashian sister and her husband, Dallas Maverick basketball player Lamar Odom – included the Genocide topic as part of a discussion by the couple over whether Odom might have played basketball for a Turkish team, during last winter’s National Basketball Association players’ strike.

According to a ratings system, more than 2.1 million viewers tuned into the show, and on March 11, the term “Armenian Genocide” was the 10th most-searched term on Google.
