St Petersburg's Mariinskky Theatre is organizing a symphonic concert in Yerevan on August 19.
According to the Russian TV channel Kultura, Narek Yakhnazaryan, a young Armenian violoncellist and a winner of the XIV Internaional Tchaikovsky Competition, is also expected to play with the symphonic orchestra.
Before the concert in Armenia, the musicians will travel to Krasnodar region for concerts dedicated to the 74^th anniversary of the Russian province (September 13-16). The orchestra's director, Valery Gergiev is planning to include in the program musical compositions by Musorgsky, Plotnichenko and other renowned composers.
